Update on the surprise pup for Mike Bonner:
Mike had been Bjornecalling him New Puppy even when he was dreaming about a dog, before he knew he had one.
Mike and Blaine deliberated over a name for almost a week.  Sniper, Rambo, Viper, Bear, Killer, and other combat names.   Since he looked more like a bear than a dog, they finally decided on Bjorne (Eastern European for ‘Bear’).
The first picture is the day they got him and started back on their trek to AR.  The other is his visit to the Vet last week.  Since he is so black, he is hard to photograph.  Except for about 5 white hairs on his chest, he is solid black.  He slipped out of the house last night and we did not realize it until we opened the door and he barreled in.  Mike does not work with him at night or would lose him. I believe he tips the scale over 40 lbs at 4.5 months old.  The Vet and other patrons/patients love him.  Mike says he is a perfect gentleman at the Vet – not so at home.  He is full go!!  His ears are up and seems to be coming along well.  He makes friends easily.  He is learning well with the commands Mike is teaching him.  He does great in the house.  We have 5 steps off the deck outside and he jumps off the last 2 most of the time.  There are steps inside and he has gone up a few times, but will not come down (we carry him).  From now on, if he goes up, he will have to come down on his own, he is getting too heavy!!  He loves life.  When we want to take him on a walk, he jumps around until he gets the leash in his mouth and then he is in charge and will ‘walk us’.
He is such a joy.  He keeps us laughing.
Thanks for working with me on him.
Mike Bonner

As promised, here is an update on Susie Q.
She is growing like a Suzieweed in all directions at once.  My husband keeps telling me over and over what a great puppy she is.
She is not destructive with her chewing at all.  Her original favorite toy, a honking goose, sleeps with her nightly in the crate and is carried around to her other resting places in our home.
Susie is such a polite dog and gets along with my sisters pack and my daughters 2 dogs.  She is friendly with everyone, but I am able to get her interested in strange vehicles coming up the drive.  She is back over her fear of getting close to the horses thanks to my farriers border collie.  That is a great relief to me.  Susie is a very quick learner and does the basics/ sit, down, stay walk evenly on a loose leach.  I am recovering from major back surgery (12-16 ) and as soon as I am able, we will be enrolling in an obedience class somewhere.  Susie is such a delight to have.  She checks on me several times a day and as soon as she is let back in from an outdoor trip.  I will get better pictures as I can get around better.  She plays great with children too.
Happy New Year to you and yours.

Robert,
MayaJust a quick note to give you the six month update on MAYA. She was tops (by far) in her obedience class, she is doing 150 yard tracks with multiple turns, and she is great with the kids. She has been pretty easy to train so far and the tracking seems to be second nature for her. She is the most "alert" dog I've ever seen, she is keenly aware of her surroundings at all times. The only problem we've had so far is I can't seem to throw the tennis ball ENOUGH to satisfy her. She'll do that all day long if someone will keep throwing it. Thanks Robert, we'll send another update in a couple months.

"Just a quick note to thank you again for your kindness, honesty and integrity in providing us with our wonderful 'Dunking' The name was a hot topic between the Missus and I but since we met at Dunking Donuts over 31 years ago -- Dunkin was the choice. He has proven to be a delightful new spirit in our household. His curiosity is unbounded and he fears nothing! When he first set foot inside our home he gave it the quick 'once over', found it acceptable to his standards and promptly took a nap! Since that time he has mastered basic commands and does the 'kennel-up' thing with occasional need for additional encouragement. Potty training is about 98% with most 'accidents' being due to human failure to 'pay attention' to the signals. Anyway, he's all we could have hoped for at this stage and I just wanted to commend you for your part in delivering one of God's gifts to our home. Please feel free to use us as a referral at any time by internet or phone for any future litters. We will stay in touch and keep you appraised of the little fellah's progress and adventures."
Thanks again,
Warren Hill

Melee
Melee
Just thought you might like to see a pic or two of Melee from the Pascha/Uno litter. He is doing very well and the biggest training hurdle has is his extreme love of other dog's. If that is his worst flaw, I'll take that! I will send you an update when we get our BH!
